MEMBINGKAI KIAT KAUM PENTAKOSTAL MENDARATKAN PEMBERITAAN KABAR BAIK DALAM KONTEKS LOKAL
Abstract
The diversity of cultures, values, and worldviews among local communities presents a challenge for the church in proclaiming the Good News relevantly without compromising the truth of the Gospel. While various studies on contextual evangelism have emerged, few have integrated Pentecostal spirituality, an understanding of the local context, relationship building, and tangible action into a cohesive conceptual framework. Addressing this gap, this study aims to outline Pentecostal strategies for effectively communicating the Good News within local contexts. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method using a literature review approach, utilizing the Bible as the primary source and various books and scholarly articles as secondary sources. The discussion covers the nature of humanity and the Fall, the significance of proclaiming the Good News, and Pentecostal strategies for contextualizing this proclamation. The findings indicate that proclaiming the Good News in a local context is more effective when carried out through an integrated approach: relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit, understanding the characteristics of the community being served, building relationships grounded in love and respect, and sustaining those relationships through tangible actions that reflect the love of Christ. The combination of these four elements creates an environment where the community can receive, hear, understand, and believe the Gospel without losing the essence of its truth.
